Basically a green bodied Willie Gunn created by Bill Brown for spring fishing in the north of Scotland.
The famous Willie Gunn from the Brora river. Name after after Ayrshire angler Willie Gunn, tied by Dusty Miller(yes that Dusty Miller) for Rob Wilsons shop in Brora. There are a few different timelines of the story, with Willie nephew tying it and Wilson copying it for the Duchess of Sutherland. But it is one of the most famous salmon flies of all time, it now spawns so many variations that its hard to say if they look like the original. but yellow, orange, black and you cannot go wrong. there 25 versions on here at the moment!!
